1. Introduction

Welcome to TranslaHub. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our platform, website, and services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using TranslaHub, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Services.

TranslaHub operates as a marketplace connecting clients who need translation services with professional translators. We facilitate these connections but are not a party to the contracts formed between clients and translators.

2. Account Registration

To use certain features of TranslaHub, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate and complete
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach of your account

You may register as either a Client (seeking translation services) or a Translator (providing translation services). You may not create multiple accounts or share your account with others.

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 General Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
  • Attempt to circumvent our platform fees or payment systems
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from our Services
  • Use automated systems to access the Services without authorization

3.2 Client Responsibilities

As a Client, you agree to:

  • Provide clear and accurate project descriptions
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with translators
  • Provide necessary materials and context for translation work
  • Review and respond to submissions in a timely manner
  • Pay agreed-upon fees for completed work as per project terms

3.3 Translator Responsibilities

As a Translator, you agree to:

  • Accurately represent your qualifications, experience, and language proficiency
  • Deliver quality work that meets professional translation standards
  • Meet agreed-upon deadlines or communicate delays promptly
  • Maintain confidentiality of client materials
  • Respond to client feedback and revision requests professionally

4. Service Fees and Payments

TranslaHub charges service fees for facilitating connections and transactions between clients and translators. Our current fee structure is published on our website and may be updated from time to time with notice to users.

All payments must be processed through TranslaHub's payment system. Attempting to circumvent our payment system or arrange direct payments outside the platform is prohibited and may result in account suspension or termination.

Clients are required to fund projects through escrow. Funds are released to translators upon client approval of completed work or according to milestone terms agreed upon for the project.

5. Intellectual Property

TranslaHub and its content, features, and functionality are owned by TranslaHub and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Unless otherwise specified in a project agreement, all rights to translated works are transferred to the client upon full payment. Translators retain the right to showcase non-confidential work samples in their portfolios with client permission.

6. Disputes and Resolution

While TranslaHub facilitates connections between clients and translators, we are not responsible for disputes that arise between users. We encourage users to communicate professionally and resolve issues amicably.

If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, users may contact our support team for mediation assistance. Our decisions in disputes are final. We reserve the right to withhold, refund, or release payment based on our assessment of the situation.

7. Limitation of Liability

TranslaHub provides the platform "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or timeliness of translation services provided by translators on our platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TranslaHub shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

8. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting our support team. TranslaHub reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, with or without notice, for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or suspicious activity
  • Non-payment of fees
  • Repeated quality or conduct issues
  • Any reason we deem necessary to protect the platform or other users

Upon termination, you remain responsible for all outstanding obligations, including payment for services rendered or completion of ongoing projects.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco, California.
